Launch your own Pacto program

Mobilise the freelance skills your company needs today and pay them progressively, based on what your activity actually collects.

With Pacto, your company sets up its own partnership program with independent freelancers. You agree with each one on an increased daily rate. The services delivered feed a balance, then a share of your collected revenue is distributed every month among the open balances.

Pacto provides the protocol, the contract templates, the tracking tool, the register and access to its member network. Your company chooses its freelancers, signs directly with them and makes the payments itself.

  • x3 rate target, with staged payment
  • No deduction from what the freelancer receives
  • No program funds ever pass through Pacto

The rate, the volume of missions and the collaboration terms are freely agreed between independent companies.

Pacto organises and documents the circuit. No funds pass through it.
01 · Understand what you are launching

You do not remove the cost of the missions. You change its pace.

Each declared day is valued at the agreed rate and added to the freelancer’s balance. Every month, your company declares the revenue actually collected on the base defined in the contract and attaches a supporting document.

The redistribution rate applied to this revenue determines the amount to distribute. This amount is then distributed pro rata of the open balances, through direct transfers from your company to the freelancers.

If no revenue is collected during a period, no distribution takes place. The balances remain due and carry over to the following periods.

Declared days
Recorded balance
Revenue collected and documented
Redistribution rate applied
Distribution among balances
Direct payments
Pacto never receives, holds or forwards the funds intended for freelancers.
02 · The three founding decisions

Your program starts with three decisions

1

The revenue base

Define precisely which receipts will feed the program. This definition is carried into the contracts concluded with the freelancers.

2

The redistribution rate

Choose a rate between 5% and 12.5%. A high rate speeds up the settlement of balances and makes the program more attractive. Pacto recommends 12.5%.

3

The initial number of seats

A seat is a freelancer with an open balance. The number of seats determines the activation fee and is used to compute the floor of the monthly fee.

When the first contract starts, the base and the rate lock.

The rate and the definition of the base are locked when the first contract starts.

The locked rate is a floor: your company can then raise it, never lower it, and the increase takes effect at the next revenue declaration. No change has retroactive effect.

03 · The launch journey

From your need to the first contract

Step 1

Frame the program

Identify the skills you need, the initial number of freelancers and the revenue base that will fund the distributions. Also assess the commitment your company can carry if balances grow faster than they are settled.

Step 2

Configure the rules

Name the program, define its base, choose the redistribution rate and check the cost for the number of seats you have in mind.

Step 3

Review and activate

Read the special conditions, the applicable regulations and the pricing grid in force. Have the contract templates reviewed against your company’s specific situation. The program takes effect at the earliest after signature and payment of the initial activation fee.

Step 4

Build your collective

Approach the network members who match your needs or invite freelancers you already work with. You remain responsible for their selection, the verification of their skills and the decision to contract.

Step 5

Sign the contracts

Each freelancer signs directly with your company. The contract carries the program parameters and the terms agreed with that freelancer. Pacto provides the system and the templates but is not a party to this contractual relationship.

Step 6

Open the first missions

Publish missions defined by an objective, a maximum volume, an indicative rate and a desired deadline. The freelancer keeps full autonomy in organising their work. No working hours, place, method, exclusivity or subordination can be imposed on them.

04 · Who does what?

A shared framework, distinct responsibilities

Pacto provides

  • The operating protocol
  • The contract templates
  • The management tool and the register
  • Access to the member listing
  • The document space
  • Assisted onboarding
  • Tracking of parameters and balances
  • Data export options

Your company decides and executes

  • The choice of freelancers
  • Rate negotiation
  • Contract signing
  • Defining and publishing missions
  • The monthly revenue declaration
  • Filing the supporting documents
  • Direct transfers to freelancers
  • Accounting, tax and legal management of its program
  • Full settlement of balances before closing

Pacto guarantees neither a member’s availability, nor their skills, nor the conclusion of a contract, nor the commercial results of the program.

05 · Pricing

Pricing known before activation

An activation fee

The activation fee is paid once, based on the number of open seats. Any later increase is billed only for the additional seats under the applicable grid. The exact amount must be presented before signature.

See the grid in force

A monthly fee

Each month, the fee is the higher of:

  • the floor applicable to seats with an open balance;
  • 3% of the cash payments actually made to freelancers.

These two amounts are never added together.

No deduction from the freelancer’s income

Payments are made in full by the company to the freelancer. Pacto bills its own services separately to the company.

Expense reimbursements and balance conversions are excluded from the percentage base. The fee remains due as long as at least one balance is open.

06 · The monthly cycle

A simple, verifiable monthly routine

1

Declare the revenue collected.

2

File the matching accounting document.

3

Check the distribution computed among the open balances.

4

Make the direct transfers to the freelancers.

A period that has been declared and distributed is locked. Any later correction must appear as a correcting entry, to preserve the history.

07 · The honest point of attention

Your freedom to exit assumes a clean exit

Your company can stop opening new missions at any time, with no termination or closing fee. The program can only be definitively closed, however, once all balances owed to freelancers have been brought down to zero.

During the settlement phase, payments can continue at the planned pace. An immediate settlement or a conversion agreed with the freelancers can also be considered, within the contracts and the applicable framework.

The Pacto fee continues as long as a balance remains open.

If balances grow too fast:

  • increase the redistribution rate, effective at the next revenue declaration;
  • slow down the opening of new missions until the balances shrink.
Missions push the commitment up, distributions bring it down. Closing opens at zero.
08 · Frequently asked questions

Before you launch

What happens if we collect no revenue for a month?

Nothing is distributed to the freelancers for that period. The balances carry over in full. The floor of the Pacto fee remains applicable as long as a balance is open.

Can we change the redistribution rate?

Yes, upwards. Once the rate is locked when the first contract starts, it becomes a floor: it can be raised at any time, effective at the next revenue declaration, and never lowered. No change applies retroactively.

Does Pacto select the freelancers for us?

No. The listing makes introductions easier. Your company remains solely responsible for selection, verification and contracting. For a specialised search, you can also mandate a member headhunter

Do payments pass through Pacto?

No. All payments intended for freelancers go directly from the company’s account to theirs.

Can we stop the program?

You can end its active phase at any time. Its definitive closing happens once all balances are at zero. No exit fee applies, but the fee remains due during the settlement.

Is the x3 rate guaranteed?

No. It is a positioning target. The rate is freely negotiated between your company and each freelancer, in exchange for staged payment.
