A company may need expert skills before it can pay for an entire assignment upfront. A freelancer wants their expertise better valued.

00:10

These interests rarely meet when everything must be paid immediately. Pacto offers a different exchange, built on rules known from day one.

00:23

The company agrees to a higher daily rate. The freelancer agrees to be paid progressively, as the company actually collects revenue. Each remains an independent business.

00:36

For the company, the program opens access to experienced profiles. Payments to freelancers follow the revenue actually collected, at the rate defined in the program.

00:48

For the freelancer, the model targets around three times their usual rate. The exact amount is set in their contract. Pacto takes no commission on the payments received. In return, payment can be spread over time.

01:04

The freelancer declares their days. Their increased value is credited in full to their balance. Each month, the company declares its collected revenue. The program rate determines the distributable amount, then shared in proportion to open balances. Any unpaid balance carries over.

01:24

Funds go directly from the company’s account to the freelancer’s. Pacto never holds the money, provides no payment service and is not a party to the contract between the two businesses.

01:38

The ledger tracks where every amount comes from, what was distributed and what remains. The balance carries over until fully settled. By contract, a program cannot be closed while balances remain unpaid.

01:53

This protection is not a guarantee of immediate payment. If the company collects nothing, the balance waits. Freelancers should only commit time they can afford to fund. The recommended pace is two to three days per week.

02:08

Pacto provides the protocol, contract templates, management tool and network. Companies and freelancers can build a transparent pact, designed to last.

The signed contract and its annexes remain the legal reference.
